The Rules are split into six categories: Checker placement, Race, Anchoring, Leaving Anchor, The Last Checker, and Miscellaneous.

Having bought Simon’s first book on 7 point matches, I reckoned this one should also be well worth the investment.
Well, that is a massive understatement!
I’m a very seasoned player ( and current Team NL world champion member) but some recurring theme’s are explained in a lucid way.
I ‘d say from beginner to elite GM’s will learn from his concepts. Makes you think about the whole board, comparing pro’s and cons to find the right move.
A term like ‘compactness is introduced, a bit like Michy’s gravity.
The opening is strangely enough quite hard to play; undefined, and conflicting strategic or tactical ideas confuse us.
Unfortunately, those keep popping up… so one is likely to just keep making the mistake over and over.
